Harvest

Hi Mum,
Well here is my very first harvest. A small - I mean very small - bunch of radishes. It's modest, but I did enjoy them sliced on a slice of sour dough bread, unsalted butter and a good dose of sea salt! (a taste combination I learned in France, unusual, but very very good).
The garden has probably been the biggest relevation for me for a long time. I am getting so much satisfaction about each and every step of the way. It's very therapeutic for me. I really need it.
You may recognise the basket? Anyway, I am finally reaping (very small) rewards.

Hi there, Saturday morning of a long weekend and I am catching up on correspondence. It is a stunning morning, really lovely. I realised you ahve not seen me for many months, so attach a coporate photo, taken in Februday this year. As far as photos go, I do not mind this one. I am wearing a suit that I bought in Sydney more than 10 years ago... still gets many comments!
It's been a topsy turvy week or two as I contemplate my next move. Honestly, I did not plan it this way and probably indicative of my restlessness here in the UK. Even so, I do feel a lot calmer than before and have decided this weekend not to think about anything, but just enjoy the surrounds. I will probably go and visit Cathy over the weekend. Now off for a run in the nearby fields and perhaps attack my garden later today.

So here is my little plot. Not much happening so far. Just a waiting game, I guess. Carrots, pototatoes, onioins, radish, beetroot and garlic planted. Let's see....

This is one of the many gorgeous sunsets viewed from the resort. The resort was uniquely located such that it was isolated and you really did feel a direct link to the environment - no skyscrapers, buildings, developments around.

Holiday Loutraki

Loutraki, Greece.

Well, let's say it was a vacation with everything - rest, relxation, a bit of Greek drama and lots of good food and wine!

Loutraki is akin to what Victor Harbor is to Adelaide (distance wise and a local weekender location) - but that is where the similarities end!

It is a good hour's drive from Athens, to a small peninsula jutting out into the Mediterranean Sea.

The resort - Poseiden Hotel Resort - was a your typical resort, but because it was low season, very quite and relaxed. No so much happening and this was nice - not so many distractions and the only other people theer were mostly from Russia - a curious type of tourist, very rich, flashy but never seem to be happy with their lot!
